Alan Lawrence Brinkman 72, of Goodhue passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Methodist Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Alan was born June 13, 1951 to Delmar and Darlene (Muhlman) Brinkman Yotter.

Alan attended Belvidere Country School until 8th grade, then graduated from Goodhue High School, Class of 1969. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Bellechester, Goodhue Lions Club and a longtime member of the 4H Club.

Alan married Clare (Majerus) on April 12, 1975. Together they raised four children. Trisha (Jesse) Banitt, Jill (Jered) Buxengard, Jared (Jessica) Brinkman, and Todd (Abigail) Brinkman; 14 grandchildren that he was very proud of Xander, Addison, Reece, and Mason Banitt, Owen and Ella Buxengard, Jacob, Laura, Shae and Kash Brinkman, Calvin, Liv, Brooks and Odin Brinkman.

Alan loved fishing, playing cards, spending time with family and friends at the feed store. His most proud life accomplishments are his marriage of 48 years, his grandchildren, farming, raising animals and owning GB Feed and Supply.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, stepdad Donald Yotter, one nephew, brother in-laws and sister in-laws and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, September 1, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 221 Chester Ave. Bellechester MN 55027, with a visitation beginning at 10 a.m.

Visitation was held Thursday, August 31, 2023 at the Bellechester Community Center, 101 1st Ave Bellechester MN 55027, from 4-8 p.m.

Pallbearers were all his grandchildren. Memorials preferred to St. Mary’s Church Cemetery or St. Peter’s Belvidere Church Cemetery. The family of Alan Brinkman would like to thank all the staff at the Lake City Hospital, Methodist Hospital, St. Mary’s Hospital, Lake City Ambulance and the Goodhue First Responders for all of his care.
