Community Help Network is seeking volunteers and donations for its fourth year of providing Thanksgiving baskets to neighbors in the Goodhue and Mazeppa areas.
The nonprofit organization, run entirely by volunteers, typically prepares 100 baskets to help local households enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
The Goodhue and Mazeppa Lions Clubs and Kohlnhofer Farms have stepped up to support this year’s Thanksgiving baskets. Thanks to additional support from Kohlnhofer Farms, Community Help Network will also be able to provide a Christmas dinner this year.
Thanksgiving baskets will be prepared at St. Peter’s in Goodhue on November 21 and distributed that same day. Christmas dinners will be prepared at St. Peter’s in Goodhue on December 19 and distributed that same day. Volunteers should arrive at 8 a.m. on both dates.
More donations are needed to complete the holiday meals, including the extra fixings—and, of course, the pie. Volunteers are also needed to help with the effort.
Community Help Network helps local residents meet their needs, with 100% of donations spent helping someone in the donor’s community.
Thank you to everyone coming together to help neighbors enjoy a holiday meal. Your time, donations and support make this effort possible.
