Community Suicide Prevention Training September 24th, 2023 from 6:00PM-8:00PM.

Join us for a suicide prevention training, Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR). Just like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis. You will learn three steps anyone can take to help prevent a suicide. QPR is the most widely taught gatekeeper training in the United States. You will learn best practices in preventing suicide and what resources to share. The class is 1.5 hours. There will be a five-minute personal story before the class. The evening ends with refreshments and resource tables of our local mental health organizations. The event is free to the public and open to Goodhue County Communities. Childcare provided by St. John's Lutheran Church and Preschool for kids ages 3 and up.

Host site - Goodhue Public School in the soft seat gym, Goodhue, MN. Parking in the back of school. The class is in collaboration with Goodhue Community Health Awareness Coalition, Goodhue Public Health, Southeast Crisis Response, Hiawatha Valley Mental Health and NAMI Southeast MN.
