We didn’t need anyone to tell us this, but The World According to Briggs, a YouTube channel with 844,000 subscribers, recently named Goodhue as the Best Rural Town in all of Minnesota.   According to the clip, which has been viewed nearly 69,000 times so far, Goodhue is a picturesque town, surrounded by some of the best farmland in the U.S.

Information provided about this YouTube channel states that Briggs has traveled to all 50 states and lived in several.  Having been a fan of David Letterman’s Top 10 lists on late night TV, he thought it would be fun to create such lists.  He currently has nearly 300 list and travel videos posted.

In order to find the Best Rural Towns in the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes, The World According to Briggs looked at four key factors, including distance from major metropolitan areas, crime rate, above-average internet speeds, and access to good healthcare.  He describes Goodhue as nestled between Rochester and the Twin Cities but also having enough amenities to cover most of the residents' basic needs. It also has a crime rate that is 86 percent lower than the average, quality internet, and a number of health care facilities in the area to choose from.

The Goodhue video includes familiar scenes and you might even be able to spot your own house.  The list also includes Bagley, Granite Falls and Crookston. To see the full list, check out the YouTube video from the World According to Briggs
