You may have heard that 60 is the new 40 or age is just a number and it doesn’t define your vitality, purpose or potential. Members of the Goodhue High School Class of 1983 agree with those sentiments and decided to celebrate. As the first group tuned 60 in 2024, a few of the girls planned a fun get-together at The Third Place on December 27th. Complete with cupcakes, snacks and big number balloons, those attending shared lots of laughs and memories. A second party, also held at The Third Place, celebrated spring birthday girls during a snowstorm on April 1st. Much more favorable weather allowed the party to move to The Third Place patio on July 1st. Each get-together brought 8-12 mostly local ladies. At the July celebration it was decided to have one final “60 party” that included the boys. This last gathering on September 5th was hosted by Craig and LaVonne Thomforde on their Goodhue area farm. Classmates and spouses that wished to join enjoyed a great potluck, some fun mementos and each other’s company. Cheers to 60 years!
