Zumbrota, MN — Kevin Dather today officially announced their candidacy for Goodhue County Commissioner representing District 4, pledging to bring practical leadership, fiscal responsibility, and a strong voice for local residents and communities across the district.
A resident of District 4 he has built a reputation through small business ownership, public service, farming, education, and by asking others for ways to make the economy more sustainable at the local level. Through this experience, he has developed a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Goodhue County residents.
“Our county is a great place to live, work, and raise a family,” Dather said. “But we face important decisions about infrastructure, public safety, economic development, and responsible budgeting. I’m running to ensure that District 4 has a clear, steady voice focused on common-sense solutions and long-term stability.”
If elected, I will prioritize:
· Responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars
· Support for local roads, bridges, and infrastructure
· Maintain public safety and emergency services
· Encouraging economic growth while preserving the character of our communities
· Transparent, accountable county government
He emphasizes a commitment to listening to constituents: “Good decisions start with hearing from the people affected by them.” I plan to be accessible, responsive, and grounded in the needs of our communities.”
The campaign will focus on connecting directly with voters throughout District 4 in the coming months through community events, local meetings, and door-to-door outreach.
