Minnesota FFA Organization Names State Officers

Posted

The Minnesota FFA Association is led by six state officers elected from the 40,000 School-Based Agricultural Education students in Minnesota. The six state officers and the president of each of Minnesota FFA's eight regions compose the Student Board of Directors. Together these 14 student officers lead the organization working with our boards to advance agriculture and education, promote food, fiber, and natural resources awareness and literacy, and provide premier leadership, personal growth, and career success to youth across the land of 10,000 lakes.

The Minnesota FFA State Officer Team is selected from a dynamic pool of candidates who go through a rigorous interview process with the nominating committee. The committee includes one student representative from each region balancing the different perspectives and experiences of Minnesota FFA members. Adult representatives of Team AgEd, which supervises the state’s agriculture, food and natural resource efforts and the FFA, are also included. The committee has two past FFA state officers as

co-chairs.

This nominating committee chose Zumbrota-Mazeppa graduate, Natalie Clemenson, who currently attends the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, to serve as the new state reporter. The new officers were chosen at the state convention in Minneapolis in April. Clemenson had previously been serving as the Region VIII President. Representing our area as the new Region VIII President is Cameron Addington of the Cannon Falls FFA chapter.
